UndocuBruins Fellowship

The UndocuBruins Fellowship is a year-long program that provides undocumented students with hands-on experience, professional development, and mentorship opportunities through partnerships with UCLA campus departments and programs. Fellows are matched with a host site led by dedicated faculty or staff, where they engage in projects that align with their academic and professional interests. This fellowship is part of the Undocumented Student Program’s continued commitment to supporting the leadership and career development of undocumented students at UCLA.
The UCLA UndocuBruins Fellowship for the 2025-2026 academic year aims to provide an opportunity for undocumented students to be fellows and to:
- Develop skills to be career and life-ready:
- Be leaders in our diverse and global society
- Learn how to collaborate through partnerships
- Foster healthy communities with partners, thus contributing the development of wellness-minded people
Eligibility:
- Priority will be given to students who demonstrate financial need (e.g. students who are NOT eligible for federal and UC work study, DACA)
- Must be a full-time undergraduate and graduate student at UCLA during the 2025-26 academic school year
Fellow Responsibilities:
- Engage in a year-long project with a host site
- Dedicate 100 hours per quarter (300 hours total) to their fellowship placement and project
- Enroll in a 1 unit course every quarter (course will be offered through School of Education)
- Meet with a USP UndocuBruins Coordinator at least once every quarter
- Complete a reflection assignment and a professional development presentation reflecting on project experience by the end of the academic year
